 นายวิเชียร เอมประเสริฐสุข ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่อาวุโส บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด เปิดเผยว่า "จากกรณีที่มีการเรียกรถ โตโยต้า ไฮลักซ์ รุ่นขับเคลื่อน 4 ล้อ ในประเทศออสเตรเลีย เพื่อตรวจสอบ หรือเปลี่ยนขายึดชุดรองรับลูกปืนเพลา (Rear tailshaft centre bearing support brackets) นั้น สืบเนื่องจากถนนในชนบทของประเทศออสเตรเลีย มีพื้นผิวที่ขรุขระมาก และมีการวาง ตะแกรงเหล็ก (Cattle Grids) ที่บริเวณถนน เพื่อควบคุมไม่ให้สัตว์ในฟาร์มเดินออกนอกบริเวณ เมื่อรถยนต์วิ่งผ่านตระแกรงดังกล่าว โดยมีการเร่ง และถอนคันเร่งสลับไปมาอยู่เป็นประจำ อาจส่งผลให้ขายึดชุดรองรับลูกปืนเพลาหลวม หรือในกรณีที่รุนแรง ขายึดชุดรองรับลูกปืนเพลา อาจหลุดออกจากจุดยึดได้ ซึ่งไม่ได้ทำให้ผู้ขับขี่ และผู้โดยสารได้รับบาดเจ็บแต่อย่างใด จากรายงานการเกิดอุบัติเหตุจากเหตุดังกล่าว ที่มีเพียง 1 กรณีเท่านั้น"
"สำหรับกรณีนี้ ทาง โตโยต้า ออสเตรเลีย จะได้ออกจดหมายไปยังลูกค้า เพื่อให้นำรถกลับเข้ามาตรวจสอบ และแก้ไขโดยไม่คิดค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ เพื่อเป็นการแสดงความรับผิดชอบต่อความปลอดภัยของลูกค้าในการใช้รถ ก่อนที่จะได้รับอันตราย อันเป็นมาตรฐานในการเอาใจใส่ และรับผิดชอบต่อลูกค้า เพื่อให้ได้รับความปลอดภัยสูงสุดในการขับขี่รถยนต์นั้น"
นายวิเชียร เปิดเผยต่อว่า "กรณีดังกล่าวที่เกิดขึ้นในประเทศออสเตรเลีย เป็นลักษณะเฉพาะของสภาพถนน และการใช้งานที่แตกต่างจากประเทศอื่นๆ จึงไม่มีผลกระทบต่อรถยนต์ โตโยต้า ไฮลักซ์ ที่จำหน่ายในประเทศไทยแต่อย่างไร"

Hilux 4WD Recall issue in Australia |

Mr. Wichien Emprasertsuk, Senior Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd, clarify about the recall of Toyota Hilux 4WD in the Australia to inspect and reinforce or replace the rear tailshaft centre bearing support brackets that this incident occurred because the vehicle is operated on unique rural rough road and corrugated roads that use Cattle Grids to control livestock movement and with the accelerator pedal repeatedly operated “ON/OFF”, and it is possible that a loosen could occur to the rear tailshaft centre bearing support brackets. In the worst case, the rear tailshaft centre bearing support brackets may detach from the mounting. From the report, there is only 1 accident in Australia related to this condition, without injure case.
Consequently, Toyota Australia has announced the recall to inspect and reinforce or replace the rear tailshaft centre bearing support brackets at NO COST to vehicle owners in order to present their responsibility and high intention of care to our customer which is the fundamental criterion of customer care for their safest onroads.
Mr. Wichien Emprasertsuk also explained that this incident occurred only in the Australia which has unique corrugated roads with many cattle grids, therefore there is no any effect to Toyota Hilux in domestic market. • |
